As it ramps up its support for the energy transition, the OPEC Fund is also benefitting from the experience and in- put of its member countries. For example, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Indonesia and Algeria today have included renewable energy in their national energy strategies. They are also strong advocates of a more inclu- sive and just energy transition. The OPEC Fund is joining these efforts as well as uniting with many countries around the world in championing SDG 7, calling for universal access to “affordable and clean energy.”
