FAIR HOUSING


April is Fair Housing Month! Fair Housing is the right to choose housing free from unlawful discrimination. This involves renting or buying a home, getting a mortgage, seeking housing assistance, or engaging in other housing-related activities. The Fair Housing Act prohibits discrimination in housing because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability. Fair Housing is your right – use it! COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM


This program offers rental, mortgage, and utility assistance to households in the Avondale, Goodyear, Litchfield Park area that are experiencing a hardship.

NEED HOME REPAIRS?


The City offers a program to assist eligible homeowners with home repairs. Eligible activities include but are not limited to roof repair, water heater replacement, cooler replacement, plumbing leaks, weatherization, electrical wiring problems, accessibility conversions (door widening, grab bars, ramps). This program is for low to moderate income households. Please contact program staff at (623) 333-2706.
