The City's Green Business Program recognizes businesses for their investments and contributions to operate in a more environmentally responsible way through sustainable practices. Since the Fall of 2018, 14 local businesses have been certified through the program with more being added all the time.

PREVENT STORMWATER POLLUTION


Storm drains are found in our streets, parking lots, highways and more, and are put in place to gather stormwater runoff and bring it to our local waterways (rivers, lakes, washes, and retention basins). Since storm drains don’t remove any pollution before entering our waterways, stormwater can contain dirt, trash, oil, grease, chemicals, and other pollutants as it flows over parking
