Verde Trails I & II


Verde Trails is a recently approved 248-acre Master Planned Com- munity located west of Broadway Road and 107th Avenue intersec- tion in Avondale. The project will have 891 single-family homes in addition to a 3.4-acre central neighborhood park with a playground and many other amenities, a 1.3-acre park in the western portion of the neighborhood, and a connected multi-use trail network. A new collector street, Weir Avenue, will be constructed east to west across the development midway between Broadway and Roeser Roads.


Hamilton Commerce Center


The Hamilton Commerce Center is a new industrial complex which will consist of three buildings, totaling just under 300,000 square feet. Located on the west side of Eliseo C. Felix Jr. Way, south of Van Buren Street, the project will provide additional flex industrial space as well as medium sized manufacturing opportunities. The first businesses are expected to open in the new space in the third quarter of 2020.

X Property owners are required to obtain a TPT license and file/pay TPT through the Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR).


X Rental properties must also be registered with the Maricopa County Assessor's Office.

Dysart Road Median Beautification $436k – Design Complete, Anticipated Construction Fall 2019- Winter 2020


The City will begin construction on improvements to the existing center medians on Dysart Road between I-10 and Indian School Road. Dead trees and shrubs will be replaced and the existing irrigation system will be remodeled with new environmental- friendly solar controllers. The project will also include a new decomposed granite surface. New date palm trees will “bookend” the project limits at I-10 and Indian School Road.


THE CITY’S FY2021BUDGET! HELP US BUILD


Your Finance and Budget Team will be making budget presentations to Avondale City Council through budget adoption in June.


COME TO A MEETING AND PARTICIPATE IN THIS VERY IMPORTANT PROCESS.


Presentations start in January. The Recommended Budget will be released in April, followed by Council and public review that will result in the adoption of a balanced FY2021 budget in June. FY2021 begins July 1, 2020.
