SPORTS ON THE BLVD
Located on The BLVD is the Randall McDaniel Sports Complex, home to American Sports Centers-Avondale. The largest indoor multi-sport facility in
Arizona, ASC Avondale features 6 volleyball courts, 4 basketball courts, 2 indoor soccer fields, and a 4,000 square foot multi-purpose room. ASC hosts a wide
variety of leagues, classes, and clinics for athletes of all ages. On the weekends, you’ll see a combination of regional tournaments, leagues, and special events throughout the year.
FOOD TRUCKS ON THE BLVD
If you love food truck events, there are a couple lined up on The BLVD!
Scheduled for December 14 and March 7, from 5 to 9 pm, Get Local AZ Food Truck Events will bring food trucks to the Avondale transit center, located off the I-10 and Avondale Blvd (11395 W. Dale Earnhardt Drive). With free parking, live music, and kids activities, the food truck line-up includes at least a dozen vendors serving poutine, bbq, tacos, fry bread, burgers, international specialties, desserts and more. CHECKERED CROSSWALKS ON THE BLVD As home to two NASCAR events annually, it’s only fitting that our crosswalks have a racing theme as well. Four checkered crosswalks can be found along Avondale Boulevard. These new roadway amenities highlight Avondale’s strong relationship to ISM Raceway, which will host the NASCAR Championship Series the weekend of November 6-8, 2020. Tens of thousands of race fans will drive through The BLVD to get to ISM Raceway to attend the races or to experience the many new community events that the track now hosts.
STAYING ON THE BLVD The BLVD provides many options for visitors to come and stay, with four
hotels located here. Joining the Hilton and Homewood Suites is Residence Inn by Marriott, which opened in November. Also opening soon will be My Place Hotels.
