The following will be considered a violation of the alcohol policy by NGU Student Engagement team:


 Beer, Liquor, or Wine  Powdered Alcohol  Liquid alcohol for vaporizing  Any consumable item that has alcohol content

In addition, any student found by Campus Safety & Security to be in possession of, under the influence of, or involved in the production or sale of an alcoholic beverage will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct regarding disciplinary action. Furthermore, any student action regarding alcohol found to be in violation of the South Carolina Code of Law Title 61 or Section 50-21-112 or federal law will also face the appropriate legal sanctions, which may include criminal prosecution, imprisonment, or fines, as described by the Code or federal law. The South Carolina Code of Law defines the legal drinking age as 21 years. Any student under the age of 21 found to be consuming or possessing alcohol is in violation of state law. Selling, furnishing, or providing alcohol to a person less than 21 years of age is also illegal. If a student is found to be in violation of the law, Campus Safety & Security may contact the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), Greer Police Department (GPD), South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP), or any other appropriate municipal, county, state or federal entity in regards to charges, investigation, or prosecution.


Possession, Use and Sale of Illegal Drugs and Enforcement of State and Federal Laws


The campus of North Greenville University is a “drug free” campus. The possession, use (without valid medical or dental prescription), manufacture, furnishing, or sale of any narcotic, mood altering, or dangerous drug regulated by Federal, South Carolina or Local laws and ordinances law by North Greenville University students, whether on or off campus, is prohibited. Such laws are strictly enforced by the NGU Campus Safety & Security Department. Also, it is prohibited to be under the influence of the above described drugs. In addition, the possession or use of synthetic drugs or other substances that may be used to alter one’s mental or physical state are prohibited, whether or not they are
