Campus Security


Authority (CSA) In addition to reporting crimes to NGU Campus Safety & Security, the Title IX Coordinator, the Associate Vive President of Student Engagement and/or Residence Life, crimes may also be reported to Campus Security Authorities (CSAs). CSAs are University faculty, staff or students that hold a position with the University, including significant student contact, designating them as CSAs. CSAs currently receive training on how to


identify and report crimes in compliance with the Campus Security Act. This information is updated on a continual basis. Specific incident reporting forms are utilized to ensure the following statistical information is reported:  Date of incident (to the extent it can be determined)


 Date reported  Persons involved  Type of Crime  Approximate time of incident  Location of incident  Brief description of alleged criminal activity  Gender of victim  Was the crime hate motivated  To whom the report was given


These statistics are reported for compilation into the Crime Statistics of the Annual Security Report even if the reporting party or victim wishes to remain anonymous. The North Greenville University Campus Safety and Security Department Policy regarding Campus Security Authorities was last updated August 31, 2017.


Whistleblowers


North Greenville University is prohibited by law from retaliating against, intimidating, threatening, or coercing anyone who reports any violations of the Clery Act requirements or the Higher Education Opportunity Act 2008.


Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence and Stalking


North Greenville University prohibits the crimes of dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Please find the local and Clery Report definitions of these terms below as well as the definition for “consent.”
