OCEAN BROTHERS SECURE SPONSORSHIP FROM LYMINGTON YACHT HAVEN

A

tlantic rowing pair the Ocean Brothers have secured Lymington Yacht

Haven as a sponsor ahead of their transatlantic voyage in January 2018 in aid of the British Skin Foundation. Following the passing of

their father and avid watersports fanatic Peter after a long battle with the illness, brothers Greg and Jude are aiming to row the Atlantic to raise money for the skin cancer research.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Lymington Yacht Haven Director Rupert Wagstaff said, “We’re delighted to offer our support to Greg and Jude

to help them complete their epic challenge! The brothers have come on an incredible journey to reach this point and we’re fully invested to help them achieve their goal”. With a fundraising target

£100,000 for the vital research, the brothers have several months of campaigning along with a gruelling training schedule. Dr Greg Bailey, a Junior

Doctor, has seen firsthand how fundraising can make such a difference – “Working in medicine, I’ve seen how charities like the British Skin Foundation are reliant upon public donations and

fundraising to continue their lifesaving research. Jude and I have been on or near the water since a young age this is the perfect challenge to honour our father.” The Ocean Brothers’

rowing boat will now be based at Lymington Yacht Haven for several months while Greg and Jude continue their training around the Solent. Their crossing attempt will then begin in January from Gran Canaria.
