Gold Anchor Marinas
SUDCANTIERI MARINA Great news for Sudcantieri Marina, Italy who have gained another anchor! In the 3 years since their last assessment, Andrew Jaggers, the assessor says, “Sudcantieri’s recent and well deserved elevation to a 5 Gold Anchor award reflects its provision of a fine range of facilities, afloat and ashore, enhanced by high levels of technical management and customer service, set in a most attractive and conveniently located Neapolitan setting.” The harbour and marina
lie in the Bay of Pozzuoli within easy reach of some of Italy’s most attractive coastline, islands and ports.
LAGUNA MARINA
Laguna Marina, Malta is the only Gold Anchor accredited marina on the island. The marina offers customers unique berthing and service levels to the most discerning boaters seeking the option of total management provision. Located adjacent to the historic Valletta Waterfront area, the 62 fully serviced finger berths solely for motor yachts provide sheltered conditions for boat users with an option for fully serviced contracts rarely found across the marina sector. The marina offers optional dedicated Concierge packages enabling customers to arrive at the marina with their boat fully maintained / provisioned ready for immediate departure. Berths are mainly between 10 and 12 metres with limited berthing to 16 metres loa and a maximum draft of 2.0 metres.
Access by water to and from the marina is available at all states of the tide although airdraft under a lifting bridge at the entrance does restrict vessel height with operation of the bridge carried out by the Cruise Port Authority. Tony Dye, CMM, Gold Anchor assessor states: “ Laguna Marina is very deserving of achieving 4 Gold Anchors with their small team providing high levels of customer service. The marina appeals to a wide range of boaters due to their varied berthing packages available and going the extra mile for their more discerning clientele. The marina overlooks the historic waterfront of Valletta Harbour which provides a wide range of bars and restaurants whilst having almost immediate access to the open waters adjacent to the Port’s Cruise Terminal.”
The marina offers 250 serviced
berths for boats of up to 65 metres in length, in water depths of up to 6 metres. On offer is a wide range of berthing, hospitality and maintenance facilities and services delivered to high safety, environmental and customer standards, on a 24hour basis. There are national and
international sea, road rail and air connections within convenient reach of the marina.
