Gold Anchor Marinas
Retaining their 5 Gold Anchors Jachthaven Naarden and Jachthaven Wetterwille
“
JACHTHAVEN NAARDEN Jachthaven Naarden has been developed over a number of years from a small port through to a thriving fullservice marina destination. On offer are 1100 berths for motor and sailing boats, both cruising and daysailers, and a wide variety of marine services and amenities afloat and ashore in a sheltered location on the Gooimeer, a few miles east of Amsterdam. The Assessor, Andrew
Jaggers, says “Jachthaven Naarden’s 5 Gold Anchor award status has been revalidated through the provision of a wide variety of shorebased and on water yachting, camping, restaurant, houseboat and recreational facilities, while sustaining the highest environmental priorities and customer service ethos.” The towns of Naarden and
Almere are close by and the marina enjoys around 3000 visitors annually. There are a number of houseboat rentals and a motor home/cottage rental area, in addition to a well established yacht club. Visitor footfall includes restaurant patrons as well as visiting boats. There is easy access to the Markemeer, Ijsselmeer and the North Sea via Amsterdam.

The area is renowned for natural ambience and water sports. The marina offers 370 fixed berths for boats of varying lengths, which are all currently occupied, in addition to some reserved visiting berthing space, and a range of boat servicing, storage and hoisting services as well as chandlery and repairs.
There are a number of rented houseboats, some limited self service accommodation and some daysailing boats for hire. The marina records around 700 visitor nights per annum. “Jachthaven Wetterwille has
retained its 5 Gold Anchor award, by continuing to offer a full range of services, provided by most competent and welcoming staff. “Andrew Jaggers continues “set in a wonderfully tranquil, well maintained and ordered setting, and maintaining the highest environmental standards.
