develop the new Apprenticeship Standard and we are on track to have the new standard ready for release next year”. The employer group has now turned its attention to ‘fine tuning’ the draft Standard to ensure that it meets the needs of all employers likely to recruit Marina and Boatyard Operative apprentices. Once the Marina and Boatyard Operative Standard has been produced it will go out to industry consultation for feedback from employers who are likely to use the new Apprenticeship Standard. The consultation exercise will be advertised via the British Marine and the TYHA websites. Once feedback has been considered and any edits made to the Standard it will be submitted to the IfA for further rigorous review and approval. The employer group will also consider and develop the Standard’s End Point Assessment Plan ready for industry consultation and approval by the IfA. If you want any further
