Allegro, based in St. Louis, has opened a new property, Allegro Dadeland Senior Liv- ing, in Miami. For its grand opening party, a proclamation from the City of Miami de- clared Allegro Dadeland Senior Living Day. The luxury high-rise community off ers 212 modern and functional private apartments. Features include multiple dining venues, a rooftop bar, wine room, and pool.

Brightview Senior Living, based in Baltimore, has opened the Brightview Devon in Wayne, Pa. The community has 96 independent liv- ing residences, 50 assisted living residences, and 25 residences in its Wellspring Village® memory care neighborhood.

Fort Worth, Texas-based Civitas Senior Liv- ing and Arizona real estate developer Desert Land Group have begun construction on The Bluff s of Flagstaff , slated to open in fall 2021. The community off ers 120 independent liv- ing, 66 assisted living, and 18 memory care apartments.

Eclipse Senior Living, based in Lake Oswe- go, Ore., has assumed management of nine assisted living and memory care communi- ties in North Carolina. The communities announced will be managed under the El- mcroft by Eclipse Senior Living brand. The communities are: Elmcroft of Asheboro, El- mcroft of Cramerton, Elmcroft of Harrisburg, Elmcroft of Hendersonville, Elmcroft of Hill- sborough, Elmcroft of Newton, Elmcroft of Salisbury, Elmcroft of Shelby, and Elmcroft of Southport.

Life Care Services (LCS), based in Des Moines, Iowa, has purchased The Clare at Rush and Pearson, a luxury landmark se- nior living community in Chicago. In 2012, LCS and Fundamental Advisors acquired The Clare in a bankruptcy court auction. The partners renovated the community and expanded services, bringing occupancy from 34 percent to 98 percent. In addition, LCS has begun managing Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, Va., with 667 residences, including indepen- dent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.

Atlanta-based Thrive Senior Living has opened Tribute at Black Hill in Germantown, Md., an assisted living and memory care community. Tribute features contemporary design, an oversized, elevated courtyard with walking trails, restaurant-style dining, and four suite-style fl oor plans.

Atlanta-based Morrison Living, formerly known as Morrison Community Living, has a new name and branding. The company has created new culinary standards, a cater- ing guide and menu templates, an updated website, and a new logo.

National Health Investors, based in Mur- freesboro, Tenn., joined an affi liate of Life Care Services (LCS), headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, in a joint venture to own and operate the Timber Ridge at Talus continu- ing care retirement community in Issaquah, Wash. The joint venture is acquiring Timber Ridge from a joint venture between West- minster Capital and LCS. Timber Ridge serves the greater Seattle area. The existing campus was built in 2008 and an extensive expansion project was completed in 2017 with fi nancing provided by NHI. The com- munity is over 95 percent occupied and has 401 units including 330 independent living apartments, 14 assisted living apartments, 12 memory care apartments and 45 skilled nursing beds. National Health Investors has also purchased Coventry of Mahtomedi, a 48-residence assisted living and memory care community in Mahtomedi, Minn.


Phoenix Senior Living, based in Rosswell, Ga., will self-develop The Phoenix at Ham- mond in Hammond, La. Groundbreaking is scheduled for this month. The Phoenix at Hammond will be the company’s second operating community in Louisiana and is a 91-residence stand-alone assisted living and memory care community.

Senior Lifestyle Corp., based in Chicago, has opened The Club at Briarcliff Manor com- munity in Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. It off ers 87 assisted living, 167 independent living, and 33 memory care apartments in two inter- connected Tudor-style buildings. In addi- tion to other amenities, The Club off ers a top-fl oor observation area with views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline, and landscaped walking paths around the 59-acre property.

Sunrise Senior Living, based in McLean, Va., has opened new communities in Fair- fi eld County, Conn.: Sunrise of Fairfi eld and Sunrise of Wilton. Both communities will of- fer assisted living and Reminiscence memory care services to local families, and each can accommodate approximately 100 residents.
