Rogiros Theophanous

Chief executive officer, Theo Technologies Emily Theophanous

Head of medical VR development, Theo Technologies

Rogiros, who graduated from Lancaster University, launched Theo Technologies to work on

a range of projects from cloud computing to the implementation of VR simulations in the workplace.

The company developed the low latency LoLa cloud-powered personal computer system, which it hopes will become the standard for individuals and businesses. Rogiros has employed local talent from the area and has also deployed the LoLa system into universities and colleges, meaning they no longer have to pay for expensive computer hardware for their students.

Emily, who graduated with a degree in biomedicine from Lancaster, worked for five years as an analytical chemist before joining Theo Technologies. Her goal is to see the LoLa streaming technology used to develop a medical training VR platform to allow medical students everywhere to have access to high quality immersive medical training.

Yasir Patel Founder, Cluster Club

29

Yas launched Cluster Club in late 2021 to help provide a nutritious alternative to ‘on the go’ snacks. His interest in healthy eating resulted from a childhood accident which left him bedridden and snacking on junk food.

The recipes he uses – which feature premium nuts and chocolate – were inspired by the treats his mum would make for special family occasions.

They now have a nationwide audience as, earlier this year, he featured on the Channel 4 show Aldi’s Next Big Thing, impressing the supermarket’s buyers and securing an order for 100,000 units.
