developed a tailor-made loan product that supports and protects practice cash flow.

Its unsecured practice loans have helped fund a range of professionals, from accountancy and chartered surveyors’ practices to solicitors, dental and doctors’ surgeries and vets.

These loans can be used for a variety of reasons, including 12-month term facilities to fund tax bills and indemnity insurance, and

we’ve made a real, positive difference to them.”

Jonathan is also proud of the relationship building that is part of that attitude that he has engrained throughout Kingsley from day one.

He has been involved in every role in the business as it has grown, with a particular focus on the development of customer relationships.

“We have loyal clients,” he explains. “If they show us loyalty, we reciprocate that. Our first

up to 36 months for specific projects such as practice acquisitions and office refits.

Jonathan says: “If anybody needs it, we will look at it. We approach it from the starting point to see if we can make it work. We’re quick and can turn deals around in 24 hours using a commonsense approach; There is no ‘computer says no’ here”.

He adds: “Being an independent finance provider means we are able to make commercial decisions quickly with funds being released promptly.

“Through our commercial underwriting we have the flexibility to assist most businesses with their funding requirements, regardless of whether they are investing in new or older assets, looking to release equity in owned assets, or seeking a professional practice loan.

“Our positive approach and having an open- minded attitude have been vital for hundreds of businesses over the past 30 years. We feel

ever client is still with us and in some cases, we are now dealing with the third generation of owners in some family businesses.”

“I really enjoy going out to see customers and it’s amazing to see what they are achieving and it is very rewarding when we have played a part in that.”

In a typical month the business will lend around £1.5m and its current loan book is just short of £30m.

Jonathan sees future growth ahead, with that figure set to rise to around £40m within the next three years as the asset finance sector continues on its upward trajectory, with increasing numbers of businesses turning to companies like his to help fund their growth plans.

The business also works with a trusted network of brokers that it has built up over three decades – and currently converts 50 per cent of those applications.

Kingsley moved into its new, state of the art, modern offices in Whittle-le-Woods earlier this year marking the start of the next chapter in its story.

The business is now looking to increase its head count further while Jonathan continues to put a succession plan in place.

He says: “We’ve got a great team and again, when it comes to staff the first word that comes to mind is loyalty.”

“People come to work for the business and they enjoy it and stay.”

He adds: “I really believe we have got the ability to grow further and I’ve no ambitions to retire just yet.”
