Lancashire Business View has once again been on the lookout for the county’s brightest young talents - this year focusing on those whose entrepreneurial spirit shines strongly.
Drawing up our annual Sub36 list we sought out young people in our business community who are displaying remarkable entrepreneurship. whether as company founders and owners or within their workplace.
Our judges looked for people who have set up and are successfully running their own businesses, showcasing their drive and innovation.
They were also looking at young individuals who have taken their family businesses to new
SUB36 JUDGES Rachel Bayley
Rachel is Burnley Place Brand Manager, responsible for promoting the town inwardly and outwardly as a place to work, live, study, visit and invest, as well as raising the aspirations of its young people. The pioneering Burnley Bondholders public-private partnership now has 200 businesses as members.
Amy Lancaster-Hall
Amy is an award-winning Chartered Marketer working in automotive retail. For the last 19 years, she has been group marketing manager for Lancashire-based family-owned Bowker Motor Group. Her role also includes Porsche Centre Preston since it opened in the city in 2019.
Lauren Myers
Lauren is the marketing executive at Pierce Accountants. Initially joining in 2020 as part of the administrative support team, she studied marketing and was given responsibility for managing and implemening the firm’s marketing strategy through the website, events, social media, email campaigns and more.
Stephen Norman
As a member of the Lancashire Skills Hub, Stephen helps support the growth and delivery of Department for Education-funded Skills Bootcamps, giving Lancashire residents aged 19 or over the skills needed to enter high- growth, high demand sectors, as well as promoting the Lancashire Skills Pledge.

And our list includes those who have introduced entrepreneurial ideas and projects within their workplace that are delivering significant results, such as entering new markets, launching new products, or disrupting the marketplace.
Richard Slater, Lancashire Business View chairman, said: “It is vital that we support the talented young entrepreneurs that will drive the county’s economy forward through their innovation, enthusiasm and determination to succeed.
“Those are the qualities that came through strongly in the list presented to the judges.
It highlighted the real depth of young talent Lancashire has, which will stand us in good stead in the years to come. They are already shaping our future.”
We created Sub36 to celebrate and support that talent and once again we believe this list, drawn up without ranking by our external judges, highlights the achievements of some remarkable young people.
