But the launch of the Corporate Connect Club - a brand new venture to help businesses connect during a challenging time - is hoped to help ensure the charity can continue its work to help seriously ill
children create happy memories.
Kevin Bedford, Income Generation Manager at Derian House Children’s Hospice, said:
“Business is tough at the moment and priorities have shifted. On top of this, the way we all connect and communicate has changed dramatically, with more time spent online and working remotely.
“We realised that these things could be an opportunity to do something which helped raise money for our children as well as providing a vital resource for local businesses.”
The Corporate Connect Club will see businesses setting up a regular monthly donation of £50 or more to Derian House way to enhance business appearance, achieve corporate social responsibility goals, and in turn generate real business growth.
Participating companies will have regular chances to interact with each other, and will receive regular updates on the charity’s work to see where their money is being spent.
