Forbes Solicitors has expanded its office lease at Gordon House in Preston to create its largest office space for 200 of its staff. The new 10- year lease sees the firm expand its presence at the address from 8,000 sq ft to around 32,000 s q ft, leasing four floors and relocating staff from its existing Oak House head office.

East Lancashire-based Braille IT is to launch three innovative new qualifications based around learning and teaching braille. Launched in 2006, Braille IT offers free braille classes in Blackburn, Clitheroe, Burnley and Accrington. Design of the three new courses, which will be made available nationwide, is based on programmes developed by the charity in collaboration with Open Awards.
IN4 Group, led by Blackburn-born entrepreneur Mo Isap, has landed multi-year contracts across its three flagship divisions, creating 1,500 new tech jobs in the UK. Its Skills City division, one of the largest national digital skills bootcamps, has been awarded £6.8m from the DfE to boost jobs and prosperity in the UK. It has also secured the CyberFirst contract in the North West and will be delivering a £1.4m contract, Innovate to Scale, through its operating contract at innovation hub HOST.
Swansway Motor Group, the car dealer group that owns Blackburn Audi, Preston Audi and Volkswagen Van Centre Lancashire, has strengthened its mental health support for team members after marketing executive Philipa Wynne passed her Level 3 Supervising for Mental Health First Aid.
Chorley-based Landfill Projects Environmental (LFP) has acquired the business and assets of Richard Peel Sports Turf, Richard Peel Ground Maintenance and RP Asset Holdings located in Barnoldswick. Blackburn-based Pierce Corporate Finance advised on the deal.
Forward Thinking UK, the Brockhall Village- based business coaching company, has launched its third franchise. Ian Wilkinson joins the firm as a franchisee in Devon.
The sales agency Big Presence has moved into Blackburn Enterprise Centre. Managing director Jonathan Finch said of the move: “Coming in to our third year of business we felt in a position to take a huge step forward and have space to grow internally, whilst also being able to host our events and courses planned for this year.”

The Blackburn agency won the contract following the success of its work for Ascentis’ subsidiary IDL (International Dyslexic Learning Solutions), for which it created an international, multi- lingual website to support growth in the US, Far East and Middle East.
