About us Established in 1976, Sustainable Building Services is a retrofit solutions provider specialising in large-scale energy efficiency and decarbonisation. The expert team takes charge of energy efficiency, microgeneration and whole-house programmes for the UK’s best-known registered social housing providers, all geared towards enhancing the living conditions of thousands of people every year.

Our achievements In the year 2023 to 2024, SBS increased its turnover by 74 per cent following rapid growth and three consecutive record-breaking years. 2024 is set to continue this trend with £66m of work already secured.

Numerous recent award wins, including The Retrofit Academy Awards’ Retrofit Contractor of the Year, and involvement in founding the industry-leading National Home Decarbonisation Group demonstrates SBS’ commitment to decarbonising homes and tackling the four main crises of modern Britain – the cost of living, fuel poverty, health and wellbeing, and climate change.

What it would mean to win The Red Rose Awards celebrate ambition and success to help keep Lancashire competitive. The local economy is important for everyone across the region and those that help strengthen it deserve to be recognised.

As well as raising awareness of past work, the awards offer a platform to grow further.

About us TVDL is an outcome-focussed ethical development company, continually breaking new ground, making a continuous improvement to the built environment and the lives of local people by building new homes, new business premises and new and improved environments and places.

Our achievements TVDL has recently completed delivery of 100 new affordable homes in collaboration with West Lancashire Borough Council across six sites.

We transformed these sites and their communities by providing modern, warm, efficient houses, bungalows - which few developers are building - and apartments of timber frame construction and piloting low carbon build homes.

But we are also also enhancing the wider community environment ‘outside the red line’ with communal car parking for existing residents, plus improvements to public realm and green spaces, engaging with local schools and community organisations.

What it would mean to win Winning a Red Rose Award would be awesome for our business.

It would provide a platform to open more opportunities with like-minded organisations across the Lancashire region, and the ability to spread the word about our approach to ethical development producing more positive social, economic and environmental outcomes.
