A trend for year-on-year growth continued with a 20 per cent increase in sales over the last 12 months, and the imminent addition of a 30,000 sq ft facility to its Blackburn site will increase production capacity further.

Hills collects, dismantles and distributes parts from end-of-life vehicles, recycling a minimum of 95 per cent of each vehicle it processes. The group also includes Green Parts Specialist, a newly-launched platform which helps buyers locate the exact parts required for their vehicles, and promises to be an even more environmentally- friendly solution than recycling.

Affordable Aluminium, Poulton-le-Fylde
Affordable Aluminium manufactures and supplies aluminium windows, doors and roofing systems. Fabricating takes place in its purpose-built 200,000sq ft facility on the Fylde Coast, where it employs more than 200. Total revenues exceeded £30m, a year-on-year increase of more than 15 per cent.
Clive Hurt Plant Hire supplies plant machinery throughout the North West, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The company holds an inventory of more than 300 items and 70 wagons, with an average age of less than three years. The Hurt Plant Hire group also contains a training services division, which is a fully accredited training centre within the Construction Industry Training Board CPCS and City & Guilds Registration Scheme. It also owns and operates a quarry on Anglesey.
