PUBLIC EDUCATION AWARD, OUTSTANDING STEWARD OF AMERICA’S WATERS (APRIL 2013) Awarded by: National Hydropower Association PGE was recognized by the National Hydropower Association’s Outstanding Stewards of America’s Waters awards program, in the public education category, for our innovative 2013 Art Jam project, which is designed to foster public appreciation for the region’s hydroelectric power.
SUSTAINABILITY AT WORK GOLD CERTIFICATION (MAY 2013) Awarded by: City of Portland PGE headquarters at the World Trade Center in Portland achieved Sustainability at Work Gold Certification from the City of Portland for exemplary sustainability efforts, including a Simply Reuse Center, hybrid and electric fleet vehicles, Commuter Check program and new LED lighting.
NO. 1 IN U.S. FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY CUSTOMERS AND SALES (JUNE 2013) Awarded by: U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory PGE’s voluntary renewable energy program had the most renewable energy customers and sold more renewable energy than any other utility in the nation.
GRAND MARSHAL’S AWARD (JUNE 2013) Awarded by: Portland Rose Festival PGE received this award for our Grand Floral Parade float entry, which celebrated the opening of a PGE-sponsored exhibit at OMSI — Renewable Energy/Energia Renovable.
CORPORATE PHILANTHROPY AWARDS (SEPTEMBER 2013) Awarded by: Portland Business Journal The Portland Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards ranked PGE/PGE Foundation No. 7 among large companies for corporate giving to the community and No. 3 among business donors to arts and culture organizations in the Portland metro area.
