Governance and enterprise risk management

MAINTAINING AN ETHICAL, RIGOROUS STEWARDSHIP OF OUR COMPANY In order to achieve our business objectives — including those related to sustainability — a strong framework of governance and enterprise risk management is essential.

Corporate governance

The PGE Board of Directors, company leadership, corporate policies and compliance programs work together to set expectations for how we conduct business and help us successfully execute our business strategy.

Building the framework Elected by our shareholders, the PGE Board of Directors, including Jim Piro (president and CEO), approves our strategic direction and major initiatives. Our management teams provide quarterly progress reports to the board.

We value diversity throughout our company, including our board of directors. In addition to considering gender and ethnicity when nominating new board members, we also value diversity of experience, background, approach and thought.

Find out more about the PGE Board of Directors (including information about board committees) and read our Corporate Governance Guidelines.
