“Our customers’ communities are our communities, too. We care deeply about strengthening the region for

future generations.” — Dave Robertson, vice president, Public Policy

ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP Protecting fish and wildlife habitat Recognizing our impact on the natural environment, we work with stakeholders to help protect fish and wildlife habitat. For years, we’ve worked with organizations, such as Oregon Wildlife and World Salmon Council to sponsor habitat restoration projects and educate students about freshwater habitat and how healthy streams support salmon populations.

Helping improve air and water quality We partner with organizations like SOLVE and Oregon Environmental Council to help protect air and water quality and ensure the health of all Oregonians. Support includes illegal dumpsite and beach cleanups and programs designed to help reduce pesticide runoff and harmful air emissions.

Planting trees in the right places We’ve been supporting Friends of Trees for 25 years because planting trees helps clean our water, soil and air, creates energy-efficient shading and beautifies the landscape. Planting the right tree in the right place also prevents tree-related power outages and helps avoid accidental contact with overhead power lines.
