Four decades of innovation and growth: DALROD’s 40th Anniversary
2025 is going to be quite a year marking a significant milestone for DALROD as we proudly celebrate our 40th anniversary.
Since our foundation in 1985, DALROD has grown and evolved, becoming a trusted name in the drainage industry. This memorable anniversary is not only a reflection of our perseverance and commitment to excellence but also a celebration of the countless relationships we’ve built with our clients, employees and local communities over the years.
A legacy of growth and innovation
From humble beginnings, DALROD has expanded its operations, consistently offering innovative solutions and exceptional service.
Our journey started in 1985 when our founder, Walter Lane, began providing quality drainage services to the local area from the family home in Peterborough. Over the decades, we’ve witnessed significant growth in our capabilities, infrastructure and workforce, allowing us to cater to a broader client base with more diverse needs. Despite this, our family values and commitment to our local community remains the same.
Our business timeline
• 1985 – Walter Lane and his wife Margaret started DALROD from the family home in Peterborough. Within a few years, Dave Lane and his wife Jo had joined the business, both working their way through various roles and becoming directors.
• 1995 – A decade of growth saw the introduction of new services and the expansion into commercial and industrial sectors.
• 2000 – Our Head Office expanded and so did our team! We moved into a larger premises in Peterborough which allowed us to create a dedicated service centre and centralised office to better serve our local customers.
• 2001 – Our service coverage expanded when we opened our first franchise in St. Ives, allowing us to provide 24/7
