Gagan Mohindra MP has learned about the various apprenticeships offered at Thames Water during a recent visit to Maple Lodge Sewage Treatment Works.

The MP for South West Hertfordshire met Thames Water apprentices on Friday 15 February as part of National Apprenticeships Week, which highlights the positive contributions that apprentices make to individuals, businesses and the wider community. During the visit he spoke with a number of apprentices who are based at the site and discussed the benefits of earning and learning at the same time.

Gagan Mohindra MP for South West Hertfordshire said: “It was great to speak to apprentices from Thames Water when I visited the Maple Lodge sewage treatment works during National Apprenticeship Week. I was pleased to hear about the variety of learning experiences that they are involved in, and it is important that apprenticeships are encouraged as a great way for young people from all backgrounds to gain invaluable skills."

Eleni Thomas, Level 6 Project Manager at Thames Water said: “Taking part in an apprenticeship at Thames Water was the best option for me to kick start my career. It enables me to earn and learn at the same time, while giving me various opportunities to develop valuable skills. I enjoyed meeting Gagan and discussing the benefits of my apprenticeship and how it’s a great option for those looking to develop lifelong skills that will always be needed.”
