How do I apply?
Stage 1: Application
You can apply online* at
petroc.ac.uk from Monday 30 October 2017, and you’ll receive confirmation of your application via email. If you need any help with your application, come in and see us, or call the Guidance Centre on 01884 235245. We always encourage students to apply by the end of January to guarantee an interview for their first choice. We do accept applications after January, but you may not be guaranteed an interview for the course you want.
Stage 2: Interview
After we confirm receipt of your application, we’ll send you a letter inviting you to interview. It’s nothing to worry about; just a chance to get to know more about you and your learning needs, as well as a chance for you to ask questions and find out more about the course and life at Petroc. We aim to interview all applicants within 28 days of receiving their applications.
Stage 3: Offer
Following a successful interview, you will receive an email confirming your offer at Petroc. It’ll specify any agreed conditions, such as required GCSE grades.
Stage 4: Updates
Once you’ve accepted your offer, we’ll send you regular updates and reminders so you’re fully prepared for starting college. You can also keep up-to-date with what’s going on at Petroc via our website (

Stage 5: Induction
You’ll find out even more about Petroc during your induction days, in August 2018, where you’ll meet your personal tutor and tutor group, and start to find your way around the campus. It’s really important that you attend this day, to ensure that everything is completed ready for your first day at college.
