In the most recent Department for Education league tables, it was revealed that students’ progress at Petroc exceeds national expectations. Last year, the average grade achieved by learners in vocational subjects was a Distinction, and Mid Devon students went on to win national awards. You really can go far at Petroc.
Our Study Programmes are individually tailored to you – whether you choose apprenticeship, vocational or degree routes. While at college, you will receive support every step of the way, no matter what your individual needs are. You will also join other determined, award-winning students who, like you, will gain the experience and skills to succeed – enhanced by a wide range of extra-curricular activities including enrichment, volunteering, sports and academic academies, our Student Union, and many more.
At Petroc, we are dedicated to getting you employment-ready, so each Study Programme includes work experience where you can learn the skills employers look for. We have strong and trusted partnerships with an extensive range of highly-regarded local businesses in a wide variety of sectors.
We have also invested significantly in our campus to ensure our students are learning in state-of-the-art, industry-standard facilities. At the Mid Devon campus, we recently opened our new Engineering Centre with high specification welding and fabrication equipment – including virtual welders and 3D printers.
