Full-time Prospectus | Award-winning students
“Never did I think I would achieve so much at Petroc; there is so much support available which has led me to be able to grow as a person and achieve amazing things like this award”
Business student Lucy Jarrett honoured
by The Diana Award Lucy Jarrett thanked Petroc after she was honoured at this year’s The Diana Award ceremony, which celebrated outstanding young people who embody the Princess’s qualities of kindness, compassion and service.
Lucy, who studies Business, was one of only 750 people worldwide to be included on the Roll of Honour for exceptional young people who have had a monumental impact on society and lives of those in their community.
Lucy was nominated by her lecturer Zoey Arthurs because, despite working long hours and attending college full-time, Lucy cares for her sister - who has epilepsy - and her sister’s daughter.
She also campaigns to raise awareness of epilepsy and to give clear information on how to support an epilepsy sufferer. Her sister credits Lucy as a dedicated and hard-working person who always puts others before herself.
“During her time at Petroc she never failed to amaze her lecturers with her motivation, drive and positive spirit,” explained Zoey. “Lucy is an exceptional young person with a bright future ahead of her and is one student that I am very proud of.”
Lucy and Zoey attended the glitzy The Diana Award ceremony at Bath University.
“Attending Petroc has been my best learning experience,” said Lucy.
