Our spacious and well-equipped workshops for those on carpentry and trowel trade programmes offer a great space to work on a wide range of projects.


Food Outlets


We have a choice of three different food outlets. In The Refectory you’ll find a selection of hot meals, as well as sandwiches and snacks. The Exe Restaurant, run by our hospitality and catering students, offers a fine- dining experience at affordable prices and in The Exe Café we have a selection of delicious cakes and light meals.

Hair and Beauty Academy Learning Resources Centre


You’ll find plenty of quiet places to study here and computers can be pre- booked on or off site. Our experienced team can help you find the relevant resources to support your study.


Engineering Centre


The new Engineering Centre at our Mid Devon campus is equipped with new lathes, milling machines, welding and fabrication equipment, CAD suite and a prototype printer. Virtual welding allows learners to develop hand-eye coordination through an artificial reality simulator. This adds up to fantastic, practical learning environment to support local industry.


Relax with a treatment or book a hair appointment in your lunch break at our hair and beauty salons; both salons are open to the public and offer luxury services at very reasonable prices.
