Trans World Radio Canada, spoke to our church about taking risks for the King- dom, concluding that “risk” should really be called “faith.” He recounted how he came to faith in Christ and told us about their early days entering missions, drawing on the story of Ruth as another example.

Twenty of our youth took CEF’s
CYIA® (Christian Youth in Action) training to teach summer 5-Day Clubs® across Omaha. One of those youth, Jessica Boeker, is a summer intern.
Crosspoint Bible Church is fairly qui-
et during the week in the summer months, but during June 10–14, one could not find even a small corner that was not claimed by over 200 children and workers from kindergarten – 6th grade! It was a busy, exciting week for all who came through our doors each day.
Children in Sunday School gave
money to purchase a canoe for Forest Springs Camp and Conference Center in Wisconsin. Ira and Marcia Beasterfield are Crosspoint Bible’s global partners.

Ten teens and two adult leaders went
to Trinidad from June 10– July 4. Tey ministered to children and youth through VBS, testimonies, and construction.
Summer classes for Adult Bible
Fellowship included a study of Judges through 1 Samuel; “Tinking? Answering Life’s Five Biggest Questions”; and “i am n,” a video series produced by Voice of the Martyrs, showing people of the persecuted church around the world and challenging us to witness to others with boldness and joy! An Operation World prayer group also meets monthly to pray for the world’s people.
IronSharpeners hosted a Father-Son
Camp-out at Two Rivers State Park near the end of June. Flooding affected some of the campground, but that didn’t keep men and boys from camping, fishing, or eating great food. Ten in July, men and boys enjoyed the annual Burger Bust. Terence Moore, former Nebraska football player, shared how God changed him from a football player into a church planter.
Oasis Ladies’ Night brought together
a large group of mothers and daughters to watch the movie “Te Greatest Show- man” and to try their voices in karaoke. Movie candy, popcorn and lemonade were provided.
Crosspoint in Action recruited
people of all ages to spend Saturday, July 20 beautifying the grounds of Assure Women’s Center.
Summer visitors from our global
partners include Jon and Cherie Martin (Navigators), discipling marines at Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Joe and Lisa Harder (Global Scholars), teaching at LCC Inter- national University in Lithuania; Keith and Jeannette Shubert (Cru), training leaders in Singapore; Calvin and Jessica Wunderink (Teach Beyond), teaching in the Czech Republic; and Gary and Valerie Brumbelow, changing worldviews through Disciple the Nations Alliance.

Connect19 and on holidays, we were bless- ed to have messages from Stephen Hoff, Pastor Jaydon and Joe Harms continuing in the series “Read the Bible for Life.”
On average, 47 children attended
5-Day Clubs® hosted by two of our church families.

for a week of Soccer Camp run by Ath- letes in Action.
Coffee and snacks are served in the
foyer aſter the worship services in the summer as a way to encourage fellowship.
