Foundations Ministry Seminar by Gwen Froese

Te Grunthal EMB church held the first in a seminar series called “Focus on Israel 101” on April 12, 13. Tis was presented by Rev. James and Beth Fast of Foundations Ministry. On Friday evening Rev. James Fast presented a session on “Te Foundation of Scripture and Israel.” Saturday morning’s session on “Te History of Israel from 1917 – 1948” was taught by Rev. Peter Fast, Canadian director of Bridges for Peace. Seminars were well-attended with people taking notes and asking questions. Te next seminar, “Focus on Israel 201,” will be held in the fall and will cover a more in-depth study of the place of Israel in the heart of God and our world.

James and Beth have begun this ministry as a response to

the need to call the Body of Christ back to God, and its Biblical foundations (2 Tim. 2:15; 3:16-17).

For more information about these seminars, contact biblicalfoundations.min@gmail.com.

“Our world is radically, and rapidly changing — we are living in exciting and challenging times. It seems that the Lord’s coming is very near. We believe that in the last years there has been a major founda- tional shift in much of the North Amer- ican Church. This has crippled our rela- tionships with the body of Christ, and our testimony to the world around us. At the heart of this shift is a change in attitude towards God and his Word. We believe our mandate is to call the Body of Christ back to God, and its Biblical foundations through expository Bible teaching, rele- vant seminars, pastoral encouragement, and personal counsel.”

-Rev. James Fast
