Weld division, providing a suite of welder training and assessment services, delivered flexibly for best return on clients’ time and investment. Training primarily takes place at the Weldability Sif Technology & Training Centre, where each delegate is fully-equipped with the latest welder training equipment, consumables and PPE. The EAL Approved Centre provides assessment of vocational welding skills – both practical technique and underpinning theory – for all skill levels, from novice to advanced, leading to certification in all the major welding processes. 3rd-Party witnessing and ‘coding’ to British, European, American and International welder qualification standards is also provided.


The courses Weldability Sif are currently running include: LEVEL 1 AWARD WELDING QUALIFICATION A one-week intensive, single process welding


qualification developed to provide a broad based introduction to the practices and processes within welding. Learners are provided with the underpinning knowledge and introductory practical skills. Learners can choose from MIG/TIG/MMA/Oxy-Fuel/ Brazing & Soldering and Plasma Cutting.


RESPONSIBLE WELDING COORDINATOR COURSE


A recognised Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC) training course. The only independent RWC course providing a Level 4 Award and Certificate of Verifiable Achievement from EAL, who are the awarding body operated by SEMTA (The Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies). This course is suitable for Welders, Managers, Supervisors, Inspectors and Quality Personnel and other professionals in the structural steel fabrication sector who are looking to improve their technical knowledge in welding practices, welding inspection, metallurgy and quality control, in order to serve as Responsible Welding Coordinator or as Welding Coordinator.


WELDING FUME HAZARD CONTROL COURSE A complete training and certification service which is intended to provide fundamental knowledge of hazards associated with welding and cutting and how to demonstrate good working practices to reduce exposure to fumes and gases.
