A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT


And so the year is coming to an end and what a joy it has been to represent the AWD as President in 2015 and to see the progress that the organisation has made. From the delightful sunny day at the Houses of Parliament in June when I took up the role, there has been much which has been positive about the world of welding.


I’m also delighted with the progress of the inaugural Welding World Awards which are taking place during MACH 2016 next year.


We are now at the judging stage where entrants who have passed the first stage are being assessed by our panel of experts. From there of course the shortlist and then our winners will emerge.


There is of course still time to book your place on the big night as either a sponsor or for the meal and event itself so make sure you get in touch. I look forward to seeing you all on April 13th and comparing notes on all the things that make our


industry great.
