Amanda Quist Chamber Choir


Amanda Quist is the Director of Choral Activities for the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. Previous- ly, Dr. Quist was Associate Professor and Chair of the Conducting, Organ, and Sacred Music Department at Westminster Choir College. Honors include the James Mulholland National Choral Award and the Audrey Davidson Early Music Award. An active guest con- ductor and clinician, Dr. Quist has conducted honor choirs across the country, and served as clinician and adjudicator for national and international events. Her choral series is published through Walton Music.


Kenney Potter Adult Choir


Kenney Potter has been the Director of Choral Activities at Wingate University since 2005 and serves as the Artistic Director of the Charlotte Master Cho- rale. At Wingate, he oversees a program that is recognized for its artistic excellence. In addition, he serves as Choral Conductor at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC. His compositions are published by Hinshaw Music, Choristers Guild, and Santa Barbara Music Publishing, and he is founder and editor of Wingate University Music Press. He holds degrees from Florida State University, Portland State University, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.


Mark Miller Senior High Choir

Mark Miller is Associate Professor of Church Music, Director of Chapel, and Composer In Residence at Drew University in Madison, NJ, and is a Lecturer in Sacred Music at Yale University. He is also the Minister of Music of Christ Church (UCC) in Summit, NJ. A renowned composer of sacred music, Mark’s hymns and anthems are sung by communities of faith throughout the country and are published by Choristers Guild, Hinshaw, Hal Leonard, Abingdon Press, Santa Barbara Music Pub- lishing and others. Mark believes that everyone is a child of God and that music can help heal the world. He also adheres to Cornel West’s belief that “justice is what love looks like in public.”


Vincent Oakes Middle High Choir


Vincent Oakes is the Artistic Director of the Chattanooga Boys Choir, a music education and performance organiza- tion which now includes over 120 cho- risters ages 8‐18 in five ensembles. Since 2006, he has also been the Director of Choral Music at Te Baylor School, a grade 6‐12 school in Chattanooga. As a conductor/ clinician, he has conducted numerous honor choirs and festivals throughout the United States. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Sacred Music degree in Choral Conduct- ing from Emory University.


James Wells Young Adult Choir & Evening Prayer


James Wells is the Director of Choral Ministries at Brentwood UMC near Nashville, TN. Over his 24 years of ministry he has directed choirs of every age. Currently, James leads the Asbury Children’s Choir (grades 3-5) and the Sonshine Youth Choir (grades 6-12) while overseeing all choir ensembles and participating in many areas of the Worship and Arts leadership. In addition, James has been a conductor with the Nashville Children’s Choir at Belmont University since 2010. He has been a frequent attendee and clinician at Music & Worship Arts Week since 2007.


Mark Burrows Elementary Music


Mark Burrows is a composer, con- ductor, and educator whose music is published by many major houses. He currently serves as Director of Children’s Ministries at First UMC of Fort Worth, TX. Mark’s works are featured on numerous state and festival lists, and he receives multiple commissions each year for groups ranging from children’s choirs to adult ensem- bles to intergenerational festival choirs. He received his undergraduate degree in music education from Southern Methodist University and his graduate degree in conduct- ing from Texas Christian University.
