Maxx Royal Kemer Resort is blessed with an outstanding location, perched between two bays and overlooked by the Taurus Mountains, with a glittering strip of private beach where guests spend lazy, hazy days lounging on sunbeds, ordering iced cocktails and paddling in the turquoise water. ACCOMMODATION For utmost luxury, there’s the six-bedroom Presidential Villa — a detached duplex villa with private pool, living area, kitchen and six bathrooms. Wellness is taken care of with a sauna, steam room, indoor pool, gm and terrace
with whirlpool bath. It’s a bit like having a plush boutique all to oneself with direct access to a dreamy beach. Staying in any of the villas for seven or more nights means guest have two helicopter transfers on the cards, whisking them from the airport, directly to the resort’s helipad. Suites are no less stylish, with plenty of natural
light streaming in, whirlpool baths and enormous beds and balconies. Regardless of whether guests plump for a villa or a suite, it’s the details that propel this resort into the ultra-luxe stakes. There are pillow menus and room fragrance menus, chocolate and fruit on arrival, and guests’ very own Maxx Assistant who can book restaurants, sailing lessons, facials — you name it.
FUN FOR FAMILIES There’s no question Maxx Royal Kemer Resort is a very glamorous place to stay. But it’s also very fun. There’s a games room (pinball, PlayStation and climbing) for teens; there’s a cinema, mini discos, cooking lessons and competitions for tweens;
there’s a play room for tots; and there’s all the baby paraphernalia guests will need for little ones, including organic baby food, sterilisers, carriers and buggies, plus babysitting services on tap, so in-need-of-a-break parents really can take time out. But for freewheeling kids who take their fun seriously, there’s diving, mountain climbing and kayaking, plus costume parties, trampolining, kids’ yoga and Zumba, dance courses and a whole line-up of blood-pumping activities.
STAYING ACTIVE You could spend the trip lying spread-eagled on a sunbed. But for those who don’t like sitting still, Maxx Royal Kemer Resort has a whole bunch of sports and activities up its sleeve, many of which won’t cost guests a penny. If you’ve ever wanted to master the art of SUP (standup paddleboarding), this is your chance. Other free sports include yoga and meditation, tennis, basketball, bike tours, beach volleyball and windsurfing. Pay extra and guests could book a handful of personal training
sessions, try out a catamaran sailing course, learn to dive the waters close to the resort or whizz over the waves in a speedboat. There’s a pool for every whim — a gargantuan main pool and a kids’ pool, a heated sea water pool and a semi-Olympic pool. And then there’s the Aqua Park — a thrilling mishmash of dizzying slides and a whirlpool bath.
HEAVENLY CUISINE You’ll always eat exceptionally well at Maxx Royal Kemer Resort. Among the restaurants, there’s Azure Fish, dishing up just-caught shellfish and fish; Azure Turk focuses on traditional Anatolian and Turkish cuisine; and there’s fine plates of Italian over at Azure Italia. Spend just a little more and you can tuck into fresh and zing Eastern flavours at Azure Japan or for dinner with serious culinary credentials, nab a table at the Emerald Gastro. Feeling naughty?
