Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills TOKYO, JAPAN

Immerse yourself in Japanese culture at Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills, in the central Toranomon district. Andaz, which means ‘personal style’ in Hindi, is a Hyatt brand that focuses on experiences rooted in local culture, which also offer innovative opportunities for guests to express themselves. Inspired by Kyoto’s Katsura Imperial Villa,

interior designer Tony Chi created a refined Japanese aesthetic throughout the hotel. It evokes the serenity of a traditional Japanese home, with floor-to-ceiling shoji screens, washi paper lanterns and artworks. Guests encounter a sensory journey starting from the lifts, adorned with art by Tetsuya Nagata that blends the craftsmanship of washi (handmade paper) and wagashi (ornate sweets), offering a museum-like experience. The Andaz Lounge, located on the lobby

floor, is the hotel’s vibrant living room, offering complimentary soft drinks and snacks by day, and wine, sake and canapes in the evening. The Andaz Lounge also hosts local events and cultural experiences, providing a welcoming space to unwind in and connect with Japanese traditions.

The hotel’s 164 spacious rooms and eight suites

invite guests into a warm atmosphere that reflects nature through its green carpets, symbolising moss, and tables with live edges. Each room features a deep-soaking goemonburo-

inspired bathtub with onsen-style taps paying homage to Japan’s revered bathing culture. Panoramic views extend from the Imperial Palace to Tokyo Bay and the iconic Tokyo Tower. Andaz Tokyo offers five restaurants and bars.

The Tavern – Grill & Lounge serves European- inspired dishes using seasonal, local produce. The 52nd-floor Rooftop Bar boasts breathtaking night views and signature cocktails crafted with Japanese ingredients on a semi open-air terrace. Meanwhile, The Sushi offers an eight-seat omakase counter, where master chefs prepare Edomae sushi paired with the hotel’s exclusive ‘52’ sake. AO Spa & Club, designed by Simplicity and set

on the 37th floor, is a tranquil urban sanctuary. The spa features five treatment rooms, a 20-metre pool with an aquatic area and a cutting-edge Technogym-equipped fitness centre.

DON’T MISS Experience the intimate omakase sushi counter at The Sushi, paired with exclusive ‘52’ sake
