La Fonda Heritage Hotel MARBELLA, SPAIN
Located in one of Marbella’s most charming squares, Plaza Santo Cristo, La Fonda Heritage Hotel is a stunning boutique retreat boasting 20 individually designed rooms and a variety of distinctive dining experiences. As the first Relais & Châteaux hotel in Andalucia, it masterfully combines a rich historical legacy with modern comfort and sophistication. Housed in a building that carries centuries of
history, the hotel and its restaurants have undergone meticulous restoration, unveiling remarkable archaeological discoveries — from 16th-century hermitage workshops and a 17th-century frescoed shrine chamber adorned with original paintings to an 18th-century building. Thoughtfully designed interiors blend original architectural elements with contemporary touches, creating an atmosphere that’s both timeless and inviting. Each of the 20 rooms has its own style and charm and all offer stellar plaza, courtyard and rooftop views. La Fonda’s hospitality ethos is reflected in its
diverse culinary offerings, inspired by the rich flavours of Andalucian and Mediterranean cuisine. The emphasis is firmly on fresh, local, organic
produce, prepared with skill and care. Each of the hotel’s four distinct dining spaces has its own personality, yet they all share a dedication to exceptional ingredients and flavours. The flagship La Fonda Restaurant was the first hotel restaurant in Marbella to earn a Michelin star, in 1978. Today, it’s helmed by chef Jorge González Carmona, whose career includes leadership roles at the Ritz Madrid and Robuchon. Here, diners can indulge in dishes such as sea bass supreme with green sauce, squid and courgette tagliatelle. Elsewhere, Los Patios offers a spectacular
historic courtyard perfect for outdoor dining amid the charm of the old town. It provides a delightful breakfast spot and a brunch-style menu throughout the day. Meanwhile, La Bodega de La Fonda immerses guests in Spanish culinary tradition with authentic tapas and homemade dishes like classic Spanish tortilla and richly sauced meatballs. To complete the experience, La Fonda’s elegant
sky bar invites guests to unwind with Champagne, cocktails, oysters and a fresh, light menu while taking in sweeping views over Marbella’s old town.
DON’T MISS Dine under the stars in the enchanting Los Patios courtyard, where history and flavour come alive in an unforgettable setting
