Zip World Velocity 2 Situated in Penrhyn Quarry on the edge of the Snowdonia region in north Wales, in what was once the largest slate quarry in the world (and was recently nominated to become a UNESCO World Heritage Site), is the longest zip-line in Europe. It’s also the fastest in the world. Over the summer, Zip World
also launched Quarry Karts, the UK’s fi rst and only mountain cart experience. Quarry Karts allows visitors to steer a three-wheeled mountain buggy, dodging obstacles while enjoying Welsh views. On a bespoke three-kilometre dirt track, riders make their way down the mountain, starting at 1,500ft above sea level at a 10% gradient while navigating chicanes, banked corners and tunnels. Both are suitable for ages 10 and above.
