original cask recipe that was created by brewery founder Peter Amor, who began his brewing career at Guin- ness in the 1960s before establishing Wye Valley Brewery in 1985. Over time, the stout has been refined and reimagined, eventually becoming the Nightjar that drinkers know today. Its name takes inspiration from the noc- turnal bird native to the Wye Valley — known for its smooth, silent flight — a fitting reflection of


the beer’s
