MOST AMERICANS CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING, A DAY IN NOVEMBER WHICH COMMEMORATES THE FIRST HARVEST OF EUROPEAN SETTLERS IN 1621 WHO WERE GRATEFUL TO HAVE SURVIVED THE UNFORESEEN CHALLENGES OF THEIR NEW LAND. FOR DECADES, THANKSGIVING IS A DAY WHEN WORK CEASES AND FAMILIES REUNITE FOR A SHARED MEAL. THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY HAS BECOME THE BUSIEST COMMERCIAL AIRLINE TRAVEL WEEK OF THE YEAR IN THE U.S. DECADES PRIOR THE SKIES WERE LESS CROWDED.
