Visit Lincoln’s ‘Welcome to Lincolnshire’ stand will focus on the county’s aviation connections, historic towns, coastline and countryside. Known as ‘Bomber County’ thanks to its aviation history, Lincolnshire is home to the new International Bomber Command Centre on the outskirts of Lincoln. The centre has a memorial spire


and interactive visitor centre. The city of Lincoln also boasts


a cathedral, Norman Castle and Roman heritage. Events for 2018 include RAF100

‘Jewel in Kew’s crown’ to re-open in May


The refurbished Temperate House at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, will re-open on May 5, after a restoration project costing more than £15 million. The famous glasshouse has been closed to the public since


2013, and has been described as the “true jewel in Kew’s crown”. It will be home to some of
