EUROPE accounts for two-fifths of the world’s international tourism receipts (Figure 4). Five European destinations appear in the global top-10 for arrivals
and receipts (Figure 5). Germany and the UK are two of the top-three international travel source markets by numbers and
two of the top-four by total spending but way out in front for spending per head (Figure 6). Germany and the UK account
for close to half of international overnight trips from the EU (Figure 7)
