Australian event was Gold standard


I would like to say a big thank you to our hosts in Australia at Corroboree West last month. The trade event was held on the Gold Coast in Australia, and organised by Tourism Australia and partner Singapore Airlines. We flew from Manchester on the airline’s brand-new A350-900 aircraft. The event hosted 300 Aussie Specialists from the UK, Europe and North America for a six-day conference. This was really well planned and ran extremely smoothly. We met 130 delegates from state and local tourism bodies, hoteliers, car hire and other suppliers from all over Australia, who gave us tremendous insights and knowledge to be able to sell more of Australia to our clients. We were then treated to 18 various fam trips. My group was the ‘Penguins’ and we visited Melbourne, Phillip Island (pictured), Great Ocean Road and Grampians with our incredible leader Tricia, who made the trip go so smoothly. Agents should pay if they want brochures


Opinion: Brochures can be a vital sales tool for agents Brochures will be phased out within four to five years as technology continues to improve and allows more detailed content online. Brochures are restrictive, and very expensive to produce and distribute – and all to be stored gathering dust. If agents want brochures they should pay for them, and it would be to their advantage as the conversation rate would increase considerably.
