Premier expands islands brochure

Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

Premier Holidays is marking the 40th anniversary of selling the Channel Islands with an expanded 2019 short-haul brochure, agent competition and tactical campaign.

The operator’s Jersey Guernsey

brochure features the two islands plus Alderney, Sark, Herm, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly and Isle of Wight. It introduces stays in heritage

holiday accommodation, including at properties with history dating back as far as 550AD, such as rustic coastal towers, forts, converted barns, stables and castles.

A stay in an apartment at

Jersey’s 15th-century Elizabeth Castle leads in at £459 per person for four nights in April, based on four sharing with flights. Also new is the Jersey Heritage

Pass, priced £32, which offers unlimited access to four historical attractions for the price of three, including Mont Orgueil Castle and the Maritime Museum. Premier’s Isle of Wight product

range has been expanded with hotels such as The Spinnaker in Bembridge and the resort of Ryde, with stays at Dorsett House. There is a golf option at Jersey’s Les Mielles Golf and Country Club, from £26. Other excursions include a gin tasting and two-course dinner

at Guernsey’s Bella Luce hotel, from £32. A Guernsey Literary and Potato

Peel Pie Society walking tour, in areas where characters from the novel and film lived, is also offered. Agents can win a stay in Jersey’s

Atlantic Hotel, with travel on Condor Ferries, by entering a quiz on Premier’s trade website. Forty runners-up prizes include a miniature bottle of Wheadon’s Gin

and a DVD of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Autumn deals include three

nights at Jersey’s Radisson Blu hotel from £279, with a two‑course dinner on the first
