MSC to host agents on Grandiosa in Southampton in 2019


MSC Cruises will invite agents to visit new ship MSC Grandiosa when it makes an overnight stay in Southampton on its maiden voyage next year. The sailing departs from Hamburg on November 10, 2019, and will include overnight stops in Southampton, Lisbon, Barcelona, Marseille and Genoa. Prices for MSC Voyagers Club members lead in at £889 for a 10-night sailing to Marseille or £1,149 for the full 13-night itinerary to Genoa. MSC will reveal how agents


can qualify to visit Grandiosa in Southampton in the coming months. From November 23, 2019, the

Hurtigruten seeks

Hurtigruten plans to sign up more environmental influencers with a strong social media presence to help boost UK trade sales and attract new-to-cruise customers.


The expedition line’s eight


existing influencers include adventurer David Cornthwaite, endurance swimmer Lewis Pugh and naturalist David Lindo,who is known as The Urban Birder. Each specialises in a different field but all have big social media followings. Additional influencers will be asked to visit agents to inspire


them and their customers to cruise with Hurtigruten. Anthony Daniels, Hurtigruten’s


head of UK trade sales, has helped co-ordinate visits from influencers to agencies across the country for the past three years.
