Celebrity Edge to operate in eastern Med in summer 2020
Celebrity Cruises has revealed that Celebrity Edge will offer a full season of sailings in the eastern Mediterranean and Adriatic in summer 2020.
The 2,908-passenger vessel,
which launched this month, will sail 10 and 11-night itineraries, isiting the malfi oast, alta and the Greek islands. The 10-night Italy and Best of
Greek Islands cruise, departing Rome on August 7, 2020, leads in
at £1,990. Edge will join sister ship Apex,
as well as Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity
Celebrity Edge will sail in Europe Reflection and Celebrity Infinity, in
Europe for the season. Celebrity Apex will sail fie ruises to the Mediterranean and northern
Europe from Southampton in 2020. Celebrity Infinity will be based in Lisbon for a mini-season, before
repositioning to Barcelona. Celebrity Constellation will sail nine and 10-night itineraries in
Italy and Greece, while Celebrity Silhouette will offer seven to
14-night cruises from Southampton.

The Japanese prefecture of Miyagi has launched its first English-language website as it looks to capitalise on its growing popularity.
VisitMiyagi.com has been
introduced in a beta version to the travel trade, before being rolled out to the public in March. The prefecture of Miyagi is
a few hours north of Tokyo. As it is on one of the country’s main train lines, it is used as a gateway for visiting the north of the island. Among Miyagi’s tourist
attractions for travellers are Matsushima Bay, Naruko Gorge, and the city of Sendai. Jim Odoire, director of Black Diamond, which is representing the prefecture in the UK, said: iyagi has identified the as a key growth market and understands the importance of
