Q. Norwegian Cruise Line is one of the headline sponsors of this year’s Agent Achievement Awards. What makes this event stand out for the line? A. Our travel partners are critically important and the largest part of our UK distribution. It’s as a direct result of their efforts that we are experiencing even greater levels of success than in past years. NCL is proud to be a headline sponsor again this year, recognising agents’ achievements at this most prestigious event.

Q. The AAAs are the biggest travel agent awards in the UK. What have you been doing this year to improve your relationship with the trade? A. This year we have been working closer than ever with our agent partners, giving our mutual guests the opportunity to take an amazing, value-for-money cruise holiday in 2019 and beyond that. We’ve also introduced our Free at Sea cruise offering, allowing each trip to be as individual as the guests themselves. We have six ships calling into UK waters this year, and we’re inviting as many travel agent partners as possible to join a number of ship visits in various ports around the UK to see our fantastic ships and facilities for themselves and learn more about our brand first-hand. seeing incredible demand for places. With our new ship Norwegian Encore arriving at the end of October, plus our amazing new itineraries for 2020 and 2021 now on sale, and a new brochure being launched this month, we’ve got even more to offer than ever before.


Q. Why are agents so important to your business? A. Agents are critically important to us at NCL. They are our voice in communicating the best itinerary options and value to their customers, and can really help take our mutual customers on a journey of a lifetime. Agents are creative, bringing our fantastic itineraries to life in their marketing – from imaginative widow displays and social media campaigns to digital marketing. Our travel partners also create some amazing add-ons, with pre-and post cruise stays in the most spectacular destinations at hotels across the globe.


Q. The 2019 awards feature some new categories. Which is the most exciting for your company? A. We are excited about all the categories, but I’m particularly interested in the new Digital Champions awards as there are so many new opportunities with this channel. I’m keen to learn
