Q Screen hero: My boss Lynn Narraway met Richard E Grant at the Globe Travel Awards
impeachments and impending Brexit revival – there is only one thing to do…book a cruise! My travels this month have been a little sparse, but I did attend the fabulous Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards this month and what an event! One of my screen heroes, Richard E Grant presented – and he did a wonderful job. The boss (Lynn Narraway) got to meet him, so I haven’t spoken to her since, but I’m coming around! The industry seems in a good place overall based on the high spirits on the night. It was a great night and there were encouraging messages for the year ahead. Your fabulous friends at HAL/ Seabourn are here to keep the momentum going – whether it’s Alaska or Antarctica, Barbados or Bali, Canada or Caribbean, book as much as you can and make February ‘Fab’ruary’! Celebrity Apex
Celebrity reveals Apex details ahead of launch in March

Celebrity Cruises has revealed more details about the features on new ship Celebrity Apex. Next month, Apex, sister ship
to Celebrity Edge, will be named in Southampton, making it the first Celebrity vessel to be launched in the UK for more than a decade. Like Edge, Apex will feature
a Magic Carpet – an extended platform on the side of the ship that can move up and down and serves as a bar, restaurant and a tender platform; The Retreat, an exclusive
area for suite guests; and two- storey Edge Villas with their own private terrace and plunge pool. New features and changes include a casual bar area, Craft Social Bar, which also features on Celebrity Equinox. It will offer 50 of the world’s “rarest craft beers” served by a certified beer sommelier, as well as casual meals. A new 3D digital animation
dining experience will feature at Le Grand Bistro by Le Petit Chef and there will be a new menu and immersive experiences at dining venue Eden.
Honey bees and rescue dogs: MSC introduces
MSC Cruises has introduced a range of sustainable tours. The Protectours include
hiking in forests with rescue dogs in Jamaica, visiting urban honey bees in Corfu and helping clean beaches in Croatia. Prices for the bee tour start from £72 and hiking with dogs

leads in at £65. The excursions can be booked through agents or the MSC Cruises website. The line will offer at least
25 tours initially, and plans to continually add to the range. MSC has also set objectives
for local tour operator partners to become internationally certified
