Well, this month has been amazing, with our beautiful new expedition ship Seabourn Venture now sailing in the Arctic and Greenland, offering our guests incredible sightings of polar bears, puffins and even blue whales.


It is hard to describe how proud one can feel about


a ship. Obviously, it is very much about the teams of people who have made this happen, from the ship workers to the onboard team to the accountants, IT and HR teams, sales and marketing, contact centres and so many others involved.


Being part of a team is the best feeling in the


world and, since the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to involve everyone and make sure that everyone feels included.


As we finish recruiting both in the UK and Europe for our Seabourn team, we met last week in Rotterdam for the first time as the new UK/Europe Team. At the end of the meeting, I asked everyone to give me their thoughts and here are some of the words: ’so many opportunities’, ‘sharing ideas’, ‘one Seabourn team’ and ‘working together’. These are the sentiments which contribute to increased support for our industry partners. From me there were only two words: ‘hugely proud’.


That feeling is second to none and is how I feel about all our UK Seabourn Partners too. I am so looking forward to WAVE planning and yet another Seabourn expedition ship coming in 2023!
