What has been the biggest achievement at your company over the past year? In October one of our chief experience officers, Sem Sem Saied from Egypt, won the ‘best tour guide in the world’ Gold Award at Wanderlust’s World Guide Awards. This was a major achievement for him, and also for G Adventures as a company. This goes to show the quality of our trips and the amazing service we deliver to our travellers all over the world, every single day. It also means agents can rest assured their customers are in good hands with G Adventures.
Will you be promoting any particular products or services around the event? We won’t be promoting anything specific
at the event, but you can be sure we’ll be there in force painting the place purple!
What is your most memorable moment at past AAAs? My first AAAs was on the first day of my new job as sales director for Cosmos. Talk about the best way to be thrown in the deep end!
What’s your top tip for an agent attending the AAAs for the first time this year? Go there to be inspired. You are among the best agents in the country. If you win, that is a great achievement and shows excellent work. If you don’t win, continue to be inspired by your nomination and your peers, and drive harder for next year.

What does the future hold for agencies? The future is bright. People like to buy from people. Travel agencies need to keep evolving and make sure they stay relevant to their customers. Agents build relationships, which in turn helps build community – they should be a go-to for travel inspiration for that community.
What song is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor at the spectacular AAA after-party? That’s hard to say as it changes constantly! Right now it would probably be Slide by Calvin Harris.
Have you chosen your outfit yet? I sure have – I have chosen a little black and white number this year.
