Celebrity vows to invite all agents on board its ships

Celebrity Cruises has pledged to invite every travel agent partner on board its UK and Ireland-based ships. Celebrity Eclipse and Celebrity
Silhouette will homeport in Dublin and Southampton respectively from next year and visit other UK ports. Jo Rzymowska, UK and Ireland managing director, said this was an ideal opportunity for agents to experience the line. “I always say seeing is believing and therefore my aim would be to get every single UK travel partner on board our ships to experience them,” she said. “Then they can truly understand
what Celebrity Cruises stands for and the differences between Celebrity and other brands.” As well as ship visits in Southampton, Rzymowska said she was keen to give agents in the north and Scotland the chance to see Eclipse in ports closer to home. Celebrity Cruises is to host

CMV’s Columbus has refit ahead of Tilbury launch next week
Columbus, Cruise & Maritime Voyages’ incoming ship, has entered drydock in Rotterdam for a three-week refit. The refurbishment of the former
P&O Cruises Australia ship Pacific Pearl will see its areas dedicated to children converted to suit CMV’s more mature passengers. The 1,400-passenger vessel will
gain a new livery with the painting of the hull. Some refurbishment and modification work previously took place during the ship’s transfer from Singapore. The new-look ship is to be named at its new homeport of Tilbury on June 8 before commencing a summer season of
ex-UK cruises on June 11. Columbus becomes CMV’s fifth
ship, joining Magellan, Marco Polo, Astor and Astoria.
